Red Ribbon Week

Hello hedenkamp huskies!

Red Ribbon Week begins Monday, October 24.  We have an outstanding week planned for our students including two assemblies and the annual door decorating contest.

The assembly on Wednesday, October 26  is provided by our very own PTA and is called “Kids for America.” The assembly for our primary students begins at 9:00 a.m.                                               The intermediate assembly is at 10:00 a.m.

Red Ribbon Week is an effort in which everyone at school and work get to show their support of being drug free by wearing a red ribbon which is used as a symbol of support to stay off drugs.  The message all week-long is to have students learn about different drugs and why it’s important to stay away from them and how to deal with peer pressure.

THANK YOU

Hello hedenkamp huskies,

On behalf of the entire Hedenkamp Staff, I want to thank you for your support
and patience as we begin a new school year.  It was an excellent beginning and we look forward to an outstanding school year.

The beginning of the school year is also an excellent time to get involved and become part of our “Family.”  Our PTA is conducting their annual membership drive.  Our goal is to have all parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles join the Hedenkamp Parent Teacher Association.  Tell your friends and neighbors as well.  All funds raised throughout the year directly support Hedenkamp teachers, staff and students

We also appreciate your patience as we continue to problem solve our drop off and pick up times for parents.  There are no easy answers and solutions other than your patience and your realization that the safety of our students is the number one priority.  Please do not double park and ask your child to cross traffic or go between other cars.  Please be courteous of other drivers and please wait your turn to pick up your children.

HEDENKAMP TELEVISION ON LINE

HKTV is now on our Hedenkamp Huskies Blog.  Each Wednesday, Hedenkamp Students will write, edit, and film the weekly HKTV Broadcast.  The Broadcast will be posted by Friday morning.   Below is our first edition. Please log on each week to learn about events and activities at Hedenkamp.

Thanks to everyone for a great first day.
